Evangelical Covenant Church

At our annual meeting in January of 2003, the Millard Church congregation voted to seek affiliation with the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC), headquartered in Chicago.  This decision was made after months of seeking a denomination that held the same goals and values.  We were particularly seeking an affiliation that recognized the importance of the Bible as the Word of God.  

The ECC membership voted to accept our application, first at the Central Conference Regional meeting in April and then at the National Convention in June of 2003.  During this process, the ECC leadership worked closely with our Pastoral Search Committee to define a recruitment process, to provide and evaluate candidates, and then to call our present pastor.

Covenant Harbor Camp, the ECC Central Conferance camp at Lake Geneva.  Millard Church holds its annual family picnic at Covenant Harbor in July.
